Overflow

A floodgate has been opened in my mind.
Words continuously flowed out.
I fear that if I held it all in,
I'd burst.
I need to write.
I have to write,
So many ideas in me.
They prance around in my thoughts,
I'm starting to get a headache.
Even in sleep they invade my dreams.
A poem, a story, a song.
If only I could switch it off,
But I dread it would leave me blank.
